Hadrian's Cycle Way stretches coast to coast from Glannaventa Roman Bath House, Ravenglass to Arbeia Roman Fort and Museum at South Shields. Hadrian's Cycle Way covers a distance of 174 miles through some of the UK's most spectacular coyntryside in Cumbria and Northumberland.
Hadrian's Cycleway, signed as National Route 72, can be cycled in either direction, though it is normally cycled west to east. It runs mainly on country lanes and quiet roads with flat sections at aither side with hilly sections in the centre.
